Tracy Viers with her marvelous PRE Andalusian stallion, Novelisto D, and Sharon Gerl on her striking buttermilk palomino Lusitano stallion, Venturoso HM, wowed the crowd during the breed demonstration rides.  These young stallions impressed their owners at how well they handled their first expo experience.  It was tricky to work to get to the demo arena - we had to take our horses out into the cold, sometimes dark, rain then into the expo center through man doors and walk on a carpeted path to an arena that had been created in the main expo hall.  The arena was surrounded by several four-foot high fans on one side and noisy metal bleachers on the other and a tractor parked in the arena.  It is a testament to the temperament of our breed that these two stallions just got down to the business of impressing the crowd with their grace and aplomb.  They put their owner's nerves to rest and just had a good time strutting their stuff.
